Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee GMPLI’s procurement activities for GMP-grade water, media, and buffer production. This role will ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of materials, equipment, and services in alignment with GMP and global regulatory standards. The Purchasing Manager will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to support production schedules, minimize lead times, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and quality.
  • Ensure all purchases meet GMP, FDA, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Maintain purchasing records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing with operational and production needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP compliance in sourcing and procurement.
  • Proficiency in ERP or procurement software.
