Position Overview
The Purchasing Supervisor will support GMPLI’s procurement function by overseeing day-to-day purchasing activities and ensuring timely, compliant acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. This role will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to execute procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and maintain compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily purchasing operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Work with suppliers to track orders, resolve delivery issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure purchasing documentation is accurate and meets GMP and audit requirements.
- Assist in vendor qualification and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet production needs.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of purchasing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing.
- Familiarity with GMP procurement standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems.
